On 18th February 2026, the law changed on landlords entitlements, reducing the Statutory loss payment from 7.5% of the Market Value to 2.5% and reducing the cap from £75,000 to £25,000. Some acquiring authorities are now using the new law and some are honoring assurances made based on the old law. Our video was made prior to the legal change.
